Crew member/educator, Steven Soltysik will share his experience with Polynesian Voyaging Society and the World Wide Voyage of the Hawaiian Sailing Canoe Hokule`a. The Hawaiian Star Compass will be introduced using the sun, moon, stars, wind and swell. Presentation will include film documentation of the world wide voyage. Hands on activities with the introduction of the Hawaiian Star compass navigation, magnetic compass navigation, and GPS navigation.
